| Mumbai Traffic Nightmare |
When is this going to end Nobody Knows. Day by Day the Situation is going out of Hand and there seems no end to the Woes of Motorists. The works being carried out on Mumbai Roads are timeless, God Knows Whose Coffers are being filled in such a way. There is no Centralised agency who monitors the works of these so called agencies like MMRDA, BMC, MTNL, etc...
Also some years back Mumbai traffic was called as the most disciplined, but now the situation is reverse. The Basic problem lies in the fact that on most of the arterial roads there are no dividers, also the locations of "right turns"/"U" Turns is tremendous. Most of the clogging is due to this as there is no control over who will take a "U" turn and Right turn. For Instance take the road near Bhawans College Andheri Where a right turn has been provided near Vijaya Bank, why can't this be closed as there is already a signal a mere 100 feet away. Such Locations are many in Mumbai which could have been avoided , thereby resulting in smooth Traffic Flow. |
